MemoryMate™ Offers a Treatment Solution

MemoryMate™ allows the primary caregiver/administrator a means to provide surrogate memory for the Memory Impaired by providing them with prompts for tasks to complete. As well as being a phone, the Memory Impaired's PDA has a “To Do” list, a listing of friends and family contact information, a medical and medication information center, a message center and a photo with text center.

The message and photo with text center allows a medium through which all caregivers can “Treat” the Memory Impaired with as much written and photographic interaction as warranted. FINALLY a Treatment plan for Alzheimer's provided by loving family and friends that fits with the caregivers busy lifestyles.

When the Memory Impaired receives a quick instant message or a new family photo they are Thrilled, Engaged, Involved and Feel “Part of the Day.”

How MemoryMate™ Helps

Memory Loss - Dementia - Alzheimer's

It’s a fact of Life. As we age our Memory and Cognitive skills diminish which causes frustration and an Increased feeling of diminished self worth. Alzheimer's is a progressive, terminal disease that affects millions and millions of Americans and tens of millions worldwide. Alzheimer's is evidenced by an ever increasing loss of memory. A continual failing of cognitive skills along with a growing inability to function daily. All these result in embarrassment, low self worth and isolation. There is no cure, sad but true. There are drugs to slow the progression but there is no cure. There is no treatment that is broadly used until the arrival of MemoryMate.

The Tragedy of Isolation & Loneliness

Care Givers, loneliness and ever increasing isolation are truly tragic to one who had previously lived an active and fully engaged life, but this is what Alzheimer's does. Friends and family slowly disappear as the disease progresses. Why? This disease is brutal on the Memory Impaired's family and friends as well. It becomes increasingly difficult to interact with the Memory Impaired, which makes that person think twice before that much needed visit or phone call. They want to help but don’t want to deal with the frustration. To witness the sufferers memory challenges and resulting irritability drives this caring person away, and that is truly a tragedy.

Primary Caregivers Seemingly Left Alone Also

Alzheimer's not only affects the Memory Impaired, but places an extreme burden on the primary caregiver. The primary caregiver starts out coordinating the Memory Impaired's care but as the disease progresses and the Memory Impaired becomes more difficult and irritable to deal with, the primary caregiver becomes isolated also as the other loving family and friends find it “too much” to be involved.

MemoryMate™ is the
only technology that has helped treat the various ways memory impairment affects individuals and families.
